Sweeney Girls Headbands and Clare's Bears

 "Necessity is the mother of invention".

Being the matriarch of a large family, someone was always having a birthday, not to mention other holidays where a gift was required.

Grandchildren, especially, expect Grandma to bring them something. Her mere presence isn't enough these days, you know, but buying nice gifts practically every month; then more at Christmas and Easter, got to be quite expensive!

What to do???

The answer was to make them something Handmade.

My first endeavors weren't perfect, but I kept trying.  Eventually, I created what I now call "Clare's Bears", and the grandchildren loved them! Later, when one granddaughter was about to turn 13, I decided it was time to give her something besides another bear. That's when I saw Taylor Swift, on TV, and the lovely headbands she usually wears.

I immediately went to work creating something similar. The result was "Sweeney Girls Headbands".

At her birthday party, one of my granddaughter's friends liked the Headband so much that she wore it the entire time. I was thrilled; that's when I decided to make more.

The feedback from family and friends, on both the Bears and Headbands, has been excellent. Now I offer them to you, plus a belt to match the headbands.

There may be more and different items later.
